Historic school re-opens as new museum

On Saturday, the Law-hon Springs Museum was opened to the public, celebrating the history of the Lawhon Springs School. The school was built in 1924 and is a replica of the first school that burned down. The museum was opened to honor and to keep alive the memories that are held dear to the community of Lawhon. The land, which was well-known for its the spring waters in the early 1800s, was first owned by John Smith and Hester Ann Warren.
