Jimmy Webb of Rockport, Texas, passed away August 7, 2020, following a month-long battle with the COVID-19 virus.

Jimmy was born in Richmond, Texas on November 1, 1943 to Curtis Walter Webb and Alma Louise Winkler Webb.  He is survived by his brother, Curtis Webb, his son, Russell Webb, grandchildren, Jackson and Delaney Webb, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Jim dearly loved his son and all of his family.  He had a kind and caring heart and was respected and loved by all who knew him.

Jimmy enjoyed music and playing the guitar. In his younger days, his band played at various locales in Texas and across the United States.  He was an active member in the Songwriters Guild in Austin, Texas.  Rockport, its coastal waters and fishing held a special place in his heart.

A Celebration of Life honoring Jimmy is planned for him at a later date.

Donations in his memory may be made to St. Peters Episcopal Church, Rockport, Texas, or to the Paige Lions Club in Paige, Texas.
