Bastrop County will honor local veterans in several ways before, during and after Veteran’s Day, which is Friday, Nov. 11.On Thursday, Nov. 10, Elgin Elementary School will host its Veterans Day Assembly at its campus at 1005 W. Second St. in Elgin. Veterans are invited to join the celebration and arrive between 8:30 and 8:45 a.m.There will be an assembly with student performances, followed by a parade where EES students will cheer for veterans and refreshments.
