Elgin mayoral challenger Ron Ramirez has won, while Ward 1 incumbent council member Jessica Bega has been reelected in the other contested race on the Elgin City Council. In county elections, Elgin-area commissioner for Precinct 4 incumbent Donna Snowden has been reelected.
