Voters have begun casting their ballots in this spring’s elections for city councils and school boards. The first week of early voting in the May local elections was from Monday, April 19 to Friday, April 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the Elgin City Council elections, 63 people have voted early as of Friday evening, and 32 additional mail-in ballots have been returned.
