Elgin’s supermarket had residents going a little crazy in celebration last week.On Sept. 29, Poco Loco Supermercado was welcomed into the Elgin Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon cutting and grand opening. The market is located at 214 U.S. 290.“We’re really excited about having them come here,” said City Manager Tom Mattis. “While we’re excited to bring this new service to our community, the owners that developed this property should really be credited for reinvesting in the existing building.
