At last week’s Bastrop County Commissioners Court meeting on May 28, Judge Paul Pape updated the court on the agreement with Luminant Mining Co., which includes reopening county roads in northwest Bastrop County near the Three Oaks Mine. Luminant Mining operates the Three Oaks Mine on the county’s northern border with Lee County. Luminant Mining began closing down and reclaiming Three Oaks Mine last year, a process where a mine site is restored once mining is finished.
