Last week, the Bastrop County Commissioners Court voted to extend the county-wide burn ban until October 15.
The burn ban, which went into effect on August 6, was set to expire during the court’s regular meeting last week on September 23.
“I haven’t had the fire chief call and say it’s time to take it off,” County Judge Paul Pape said.
The burn ban is now extended until October 15, which is the court’s next regular meeting.
