SMITHVILLE — The annual Bastrop County Martin Luther King Jr. Walk celebrates and remembers the life and impact of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., the chief spokesperson for nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement, which protested racial discrimination in federal and state law.On Monday, Jan. 15, the walk will begin at 10 a.m. at MLK Park, 1101 MLK Dr. in Smithville.
