Aqua Water Supply Corporation, the water provider for the area surrounding Elgin outside of the city, began Stage 2 Drought Response on Monday, which places restrictions on non-essential uses of water.Aqua customers with even-numbered addresses or rural delivery numbers can use water outdoors on Mondays and Thursdays, while those with odd-numbered addresses can water on Tuesdays and Fridays. The use of water for irrigation of landscape areas is limited to designated watering days between midnight and 10 a.m. and from 8 p.m. until midnight.
