County emergency official: “Mask up, get vaccinated”

Amid an increase of COVID-19 cases due to the highly-transmissible delta variant of the virus, Bastrop County deputy emergency director Christine Files gave an update on the pandemic’s effect locally during Monday’s regular meeting of the Bastrop County Commissioners Court. The delta variant of the COVID-19 virus is very effective at being transmitted, Files said.
