County amends COVID-19 order

Last week, Bastrop County closed down all county parks and adopted the federal government’s recommendation to wear face masks in public. On March 30, Bastrop County Judge Paul Pape issued the original order asking residents to “stay home and stay safe from COVID-19,” effective at 11:59 p.m. on March 31 and lasting through April 30. The order requires that anyone sick with symptoms that may indicate COVID-19, such as a fever of 99.6 or higher, a dry cough or tightness in the lungs, stay home unless seeking medical care.
