Volunteers help beautify Memorial Park

On Saturday, November 21, the men of Ranch House Recovery partnered with Elgin Parks and Recreation to plant 34 new fruit and shade trees in Elgin Memorial Park as a part of the Edible Arbor Walk project. Beginning in 2018, Elgin Parks and Recreation has planted fruit, nut and shade trees in Elgin Memorial Park every fall to improve the biodiversity in the park and provide hands on learning opportunities for park patrons.
