Summer camp inspires young inventors

From June 10 through June 13 at Neidig Elementary School, Elgin ISD hosted Camp Invention: Supercharged. The camp centered around innovation and creativity and allowed young students, or “inventors,” to build and invent based on different tasks and themes. One theme called “Deep Sea Mystery” allowed students to work by themselves or together in a team to build a boat that really floats on water. Several activities centered around defeating a character called the Plagiarizer who kept stealing ideas for inventions.
