Singing students from all over the country shared their past month of hard work in a pair of performances of Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus last weekend. The William Lewis School of Opera, an Elgin-based opera academy led by former Metropolitan Opera singer and current University of Texas professor William Lewis, offers annual programs for opera singers both in Texas and abroad.
