The Bastrop County Animal Shelter invited visitors and potential adopters to enjoy a day of festivities and meet their potential new furry companion on Saturday afternoon at their Adopt-A-Rodeo event. In addition to pet adoptions, the gathering featured games, vendors and the chance to “dunk a dog catcher” featuring local animal control officers in the dunking booth. In all, the shelter processed 36 adoptions and raised over $1,000 in donations.
