New Sweden Lutheran Church’s annual Swedish Heritage Day on May 21 included the dedication of a historic windmill celebrating the rural community’s agricultural past.New Sweden is a rural region northwest of Elgin where many Swedish people were brought to work the land in exchange for their own farms.
