From July 17 through July 21, Bastrop County Animal Services (BCAS) lowered adoption fees to a fraction of their normal cost in order to encourage more adoptions. The adoption fees for cats and kittens were lowered to $10, while the adoption fees for dogs and puppies were lowered to $20. This flash sale was also accompanied by two events: an adoption event for puppies and dogs at the Bastrop Petco and an adoption event for kittens and cats at The Sugar Shack in Bastrop.
