Lions Club gathers toys, blankets for young cancer patients

The Elgin Evening Lions Club recently gathered blankets and toys to be given to the Dell Children's Hospital as part of Lions Clubs International's goal of supporting those affected by childhood cancer. The toy and blanket drive accepted new blankets, stuffed animals, coloring books, board games and toys. The first batch of donations were picked up on Thursday, December 10, with another collection date at the end of January.
