Each year, the Texas Word Wrangler Book Festival at the Giddings Public Library celebrates Texas authors and their contributions to literature. Author applications are now open for the Nov. 18-19, 2022, festival. Submissions will be accepted until July 31.“Word Wranglers” use words to portray people and places, to convey ideas, and to tell stories. In addition to honoring Texas writers, the book festival gives the community an opportunity to meet word wranglers and learn about the writing craft.The library has hosted the book festival since 2006.
