Community members got together for food and fellowship during the fourth annual Community Cookout & Festival, an event hosted by Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and its sister churches. Volunteers from Mt. Moriah, Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Lost Pines Cowboy Church and more churches and community organizations put on the cookout in Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Elgin on Saturday, August 24. Attendees took part in games and activities, listened to music, shopped at vendors and were treated to a free barbeque lunch.
