On Thursday, May 19, First United Methodist Church (FUMC) Elgin gathered along with congregants from four other local churches to train with the Austin Disaster Relief Network and get better prepared for disasters in our community such as the recent tornadoes. FUMC in Elgin hosted ADRN's Basic Training and Orientation, covering disaster preparedness and emergency response and highlighting volunteer opportunities and pathways.
