The little cemetery at Type has ten veteran burials. Their stories will be told at the Second Day of Remembrance to be held on May 19 at 3 p.m.
The burial ground belonged to the Swedish Free Mission Church at Type, and the earliest people in the church were mostly Swedish immigrants who came into the area that used to be the heart of old Post Oak Island around 1900.
