Classical school to open campus in Bastrop Posted in: Lifestyle After less than a year of work and organizing, a local charter school advocacy group has recruited a new school to Bastrop County. Last week, Bastrop Charter Advocate Network (CAN) announced that Founders Classical Academy, a tuition-free public charter school system that offers a classical education method, would be opening a campus in Bastrop this fall. Bastrop CAN launched in August 2020 with the goal of recruiting a public charter school to Bastrop County. Since then, the organization has gathered the support of over 300 families.
