Bastrop County African American Cultural Center hosts open house

The Bastrop County African American Cultural Center (BCAACC) unveiled their future plans in an open house event on Saturday, December 4 at the Kerr Community Center, 1308 Walnut Street in Bastrop.The event featured the updated Bastrop County Freedom Colonies exhibit, which was unveiled in 2019 at the Bastrop County Historical Society Museum. The exhibit toured the county with showings at the Elgin Depot Museum, Smithville Library and Smithville High School.
