Auction raises funds for cancer research

On Saturday, the Cattlemen for Cancer Research (CCR) held their 21st annual charitable cattle auction to benefit the Michale E. Keeling Center for Comparative Medicine and Research. The event also featured a silent auction, a washer tournament and the presentation of the CCR Hero and Survivor awards to Dr. Jesse Selber, a professor and director of clinical research in the MD Anderson Department of Plastic Surgery, and Melissa Voight, a breast cancer survivor and longtime CCR volunteer from Bastrop.
