SSgt. Joseph (Joe) Paul Alvarez has successfully and honorably completed his nearly 11-year tour of active duty in the Air Force.Initially entering the Air Force in November 2011 right after graduating from Elgin High School, he reported to JBSA-Lackland AFB in San Antonio for basic military training.
