Registered Bastrop County voters are free to hit the polls early next week for the upcoming May 4 General Election.Early voting will begin April 22 and last through April 30, excluding the weekend. Residents will be deciding who fills the seats for critical rolls across the county and weighing in on school district bond approvals.Poll booths for early voters can be found at the Elgin Recreation Center, Smithville Recreation Center, Bastrop County Courthouse Annex and Bastrop County Cedar Creek Annex.
