On Saturday, January 25, Madeline Eden launched her campaign for the Texas House of Representatives, District 17. District 17 covers all of Bastrop, Caldwell, Karnes, Gonzalez and Lee counties. Eden’s kickoff was held in Bastrop at Casa Chapalla with attendees from throughout Bastrop County and others from the district. Former State Representative and primary director for Texas Democratic Party Glen Maxey was one of several speakers touting Eden’s qualifications and compassion for the job.
