Letter to the Editor — Election 2022

To Bastrop County Voters,

Bastrop County residents have an opportunity on Nov. 8 to elect a true servant leader to be the next county judge. Dock Jackson is that leader. He has dedicated his career to the citizens of Bastrop County, serving on the Bastrop City Council and numerous boards and commissions in the county and the state of Texas. He also was Elgin’s first director of parks and recreation.

​If a job needs to be done to improve the lives of people in Bastrop County, Dock is the person who can help. Dock can do more than conduct a meeting. He knows how to address problems and manage public finances. No one is better qualified to assist county commissioners, manage the budget and serve the people than Dock Jackson. His personal faith, fairness and dedication to the community are qualities that make Dock a leader.

​Please cast your vote for Dock Jackson — a man of character and vision who can and will lead Bastrop County during this important time in our local history.
