Shannon Lene Harvey Alegria

Shannon Lene Harvey Alegria went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, October 29, 2021. The 48-year-old resident of New Caney, Texas, was surrounded by loving family as she passed away peacefully.  Born August 24, 1972, in Corpus Christi, Shannon grew up in Elgin, Texas, where she attended Elgin ISD from second grade to her senior year. She later attended Lone Star College in Kingwood, Texas. Shannon loved her family, her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Shannon loved doing home interior design, refinishing furniture, reading and keeping up with the newest technology. She loved animals, especially horses and dogs! She took in many strays and found homes for them.

Shannon was preceded in death by her grandparents, Violet, and James Morgan; uncle, Ronnie Morgan; aunt, Virginia Douglass and brother, Edward Thomas Harvey II, who passed in March 2021.

Shannon is survived by her children, Eric Michael Callahan and spouse Junwei, Morgan Callahan and fiancée Joseph, Sierra McClendon and spouse Sean, Kianna Shipp, Keshawn Shipp, Alexandria Alegria and Adam Alegria; three grandchildren, Jayden Boatright, Melanie McClendon and Adrian Martinez; her father, Edward Thomas Harvey of Elgin and mother, Mary Morgan Chamberlain and husband Richard; brother, John Eric Callahan; sister, Tracy Harvey Douglas and husband Matthew; and many extended family whom she loved, including numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and Friends will gather for Visitation at Elgin Funeral Home, Sunday, November 7th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.  Funeral Services will be conducted Graveside at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Monday, November 8th at 1:00 PM with Brother Mark Harrelson presiding. Arrangements and care are entrusted to Elgin Funeral Home.
