Lynne Anne Treadwell, 82, of Pflugerville, formerly of Elgin, passed away, Sunday, July 10, 2022.  Lynne was born the youngest of three children to William “Bill” Slayman and Helen Chills Slayman, in Canton, Ohio, on October 7, 1939.  On February 19, 1958, she married the love of her life, Clovis Treadwell while he was serving in the United States Air Force. The young couple spent their early years moving around as Clovis was stationed at various Air Force bases around the world.  While stationed in France, they welcomed their first child, Kenneth.  While stationed in California, they had their next two children, Robert and Dana.  While stationed in Oklahoma, they welcomed their youngest, Dawn.  After Clovis retired in 1974, the family moved to Elgin, where they raised their four children.  Lynne loved the ranch in Elgin, often working long hours with her father-in-law, Clyde mending fences, bailing hay, moving cattle, and would manage to find time for a trail ride with friends and family.  Lynne shared the same passion for bowling as her husband; and was an active member of the Austin Women’s Bowling Association.  She had a creative spirit and loved crafts; she created stained glass, leather working, wood working, seamstress, candle maker, crochet, knitting, and many others.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clovis Treadwell; both her parents; her two brothers, Bob and Donnie Slayman; and her niece, Kathy Loudat.

She is survived by her four children, Kenneth Treadwell and wife Donna of Austin, Robert Treadwell and wife Kathy of San Antonio, Dana and husband Dwight Shoulders of Pflugerville, and Dawn and husband Rodney Austin of Buda; her nine grandchildren, Lizzy McMasters, Kathryn Treadwell, Daryl Treadwell, Sara Rambo, Nicole Johnson, Michelle Sperl, Will Shoulders, Erica Austin, and Justin Austin; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to a Celebration of Lynne’s Life at Elgin Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 19th at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be private.  Family and Friends will gather for repast following funeral services.
