Katherine Mae Reynolds Davenport

Katherine “Kathy” Mae Reynolds Davenport, age 74, died at home in Elgin, Texas on May 13, 2022. She was born on February 2, 1948, in Groesbeck, Texas to RJ and Era Mae Reynolds. In 1975, she married Larry Davenport.

Kathy served for 23 years as a bus driver with EISD. She was beloved by all her students and was a mother figure to all the kids she encountered.  She was great at her job and routinely drove for all the athletic events and field trips.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Larry Davenport, sons, Chance Davenport and James McNutt, grandchildren, Mariah Hansen and Kinley Davenport, twin brother, Kenneth Reynolds, and sister, Elizabeth Neason.

A Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Elgin, Texas.
