Jesse Ray Wilhite, a young soul with an adventurous spirit, tragically left this world to be taken home to Our Heavenly Father, March 9. Born on April 6, 2005, in Austin, Texas, Jesse’s vibrant presence touched the lives of many.

Jesse’s love for the outdoors was a defining part of his life. He found joy and peace in exploring nature through activities like duck hunting, hog hunting, fishing and arrowhead hunting. These interests were kindled by his father, Brent, and shared recently with his beloved brother-in-law, Logan, and sister, Jordyn.

One of the most cherished titles Jesse held was that of an uncle. His niece, Leighton, held a special place in his heart and brought him immeasurable happiness. The bond between them was pure and heartfelt.

His passion for life and the natural world made him a beacon of light to those around him. Jesse’s jovial personality and infectious enthusiasm brightened every room he entered.

In this time of immense loss, Jesse is survived by his loving mother Cori Wilhite, devoted father Brent Wilhite, caring sister Jordyn Lee, supportive brother-in-law Logan Lee, and adored niece Leighton Lee. He is also mourned by his grandparents Danny and Connie Wilhite, Stephen and Christi Horak, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who held him dear to their hearts. Additionally, Hayden Corbitt was someone special to Jesse; their bond was filled with love and joy beyond measure.

Jesse Ray Wilhite will be remembered as a son, brother, uncle, friend — a young man whose light continues to shine bright in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing he was loved deeply and will be missed immensely by all who knew him.

May Jesse’s spirit find eternal peace as he embarks on his next great adventure.

Jesse will lie In State at Elgin Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A Graveside service will follow at Center Point Cemetery in Lexington at 3 p.m. with Pastor, Fredd Murphy presiding. elginfuneralhome.net, 712 N. AVE C, 512.281.5697.
