Fay Lynne McElreath passed away Dec. 25, 2021.

Graveside: 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas.

Lynne, as she preferred to be called, was born March 30, 1948, and resided in Fort Worth before moving to the Austin area.

Lynne dedicated her life to helping children by working as a diagnostician for Smithville ISD.  She later discovered she had a love for antiques, and opened her own store. Later in her life, she also found a talent in raising and training mules for show.

Lynne had a passion for all animals, particularly mules. She enjoyed raising and showing them, especially her beloved mule, Shady. Lynne was also a devout Texas Longhorn fan. You could often find her watching games on a Saturday and when she could, loved to attend them in Austin. She enjoyed collecting western antiques and used to have an antique store where she could share her passion with everyone that came in to shop. Her dog Dakota was a loyal companion and friend and Lynne loved the friendship they had.

Survivors: Brother, James D. McElreath, Jr., and spouse Robin; and nieces, Brenda Proctor, Terry Love, Angie Moore, Kelly  Wygal and Jill Love.
