El-Nora, of Austin, Texas, was born in Prairie Lea, Texas November 8, 1927. She was an only child to Mr. and Mrs. Chester Smith. Just 3 weeks shy of 94, she passed away on Monday October 18, 2021 in Round Rock, Texas.
El-Nora settled in Pflugerville, Texas where she raised her 2 sons, W.C. and Buddy. After retirement from Metro Optics, she followed her heart and passion for baking. She started her own small business called Kakes and Kandy Kitchen. She baked cakes for all occasions. Her grandchildren fondly remember her home as a candy factory, where they would walk in and the aroma was pure sugar.
El-Nora leaves a legacy of friendship and kindness.
