Cody Ryan Vizcarra, age 31, of Elgin, Texas, passed away on March 1, 2022.

Cody was born on February 18, 1991, in Austin, Texas, to Charlie and Lisa Vizcarra. He graduated from Elgin High School in 2009. Cody loved sports, he especially loved watching his brother play baseball, the Texas Longhorns, and the Dallas Cowboys. Cody also loved hanging out with his friends and cousins, playing video games, and watching movies. You could always find Cody hanging out in “the hut” with his dad.

Cody had a loving heart and a great personality. The simple things made him happy in life and he never asked for anything…materialistic things did not matter to Cody.  He was always up for a good time surrounded by his family and friends.  He had so many wonderful qualities that made him the special the young man that he was to many.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Vizcarra, and paternal grandparents, Francisco and Amelia Vizcarra.

Cody is survived by his parents, Charlie and Lisa Vizcarra, brother, Luke Vizcarra, maternal grandparents, David and Lupe Santos, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation in Cody’s honor.

A Visitation was held on Friday, March 4, 2022, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Elgin Latin Cemetery.
