Christy Dawn Joseph, age 46, of Elgin, Texas, passed away on April 17, 2022. Christy was born on July 1, 1975, in Taylor, Texas, to Gary and Janet (Prinz) Evans.

On June 10, 2002, Christy had her son, Evan. He was the light of her life. She lived every day for Evan, and he kept her going. He was truly her miracle child. Christy also loved her dogs, Lily, Leo, and Camo. They were her other babies. Christy loved shopping and was always dressed to perfection and prided herself in her appearance. She also loved going to the beach.

Throughout Christy’s life, she was in and out of hospitals. On July 30, 2012, she successfully received a double lung transplant. One of the things Christy liked least about her hospital stays was the food. Christy would ask her best friend, Erica Ramirez, to bring her Chick-fil-A instead. They would put all the hospital food in the Chick-fil-A bags and on the way home they would stop and hand out all the food to the homeless. She even exclaimed to her dad that she fed 30 homeless in one day.

Christy is survived by her parents, Gary and Janet Evans, her son, Evan Joseph, her significant other, Adam Tabor, her sister, Misty Glasgow (Cory), nieces and nephews, Kori Glasgow, Carter Glasgow, and Christian Glasgow, and numerous other family and friends.

Christy’s family would like to thank all the family and friends that were there for Christy throughout the years.

In lieu of flowers, Christy would have loved that donations be made in her honor to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at www.cff.org/donate.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.

Arrangements entrusted to Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.
