'Oz' comes to Elgin

The Yellow Brick Road is leading to Elgin this week.
Elgin High School Musical Theatre will present "The Wizard of Oz" Friday through Sunday, Nov. 18-20 at the EHS cafeteria, 14000 County Line Road in Elgin. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, children and senior citizens.
"We will have 50-plus EHS students, as well as 80-plus students from the elementary abd intermediate schools involved in the production," said Cherisa Cromer, EHS director of choirs, "so it really is a community-wide effort that everyone needs to hear about (and) come see."
