On Friday and Saturday night, the Bastrop Bears baseball team was in action. On Thursday, the Bears came away with a 13-6 win over Cedar Creek, and then on Friday were shut down by Pflugerville 11-1.
Wyatt Smith had the magic touch on Friday, April 16 as he struck out 12 and gave up just one hit in the Tigers shutout win over Eastside Memorial 15-0.
An eight-run third inning was more than enough for the Elgin Wildcats to take down Pflugerville Weiss last Friday 12-4.
Three runs in the bottom of the sixth secured the Elgin Lady Cats’ win over Manor on Friday.
After the first inning, the game score resembled a football game with four field goals. The Bastrop Lady Bears were in full control once they came to the plate as they conquered Cedar Creek 19-4.
The Bastrop Bears easily dispatched Pflugerville Connally in a blowout win on Friday night 8-1.
A nine-run opening inning sealed the win for the Smithville Tigers as they defeated Manor New Tech with ease 17-2.
