On Friday and Saturday night, the Bastrop Bears baseball team was in action. On Thursday, the Bears came away with a 13-6 win over Cedar Creek, and then on Friday were shut down by Pflugerville 11-1.
Wyatt Smith had the magic touch on Friday, April 16 as he struck out 12 and gave up just one hit in the Tigers shutout win over Eastside Memorial 15-0.

A nine-run opening inning sealed the win for the Smithville Tigers as they defeated Manor New Tech with ease 17-2.
Success in baseball is back-to-back shutout wins. Last week, Til Nalle and Austin Gann gave up just three hits in back-to-back shutout wins for the Elgin Wildcats against Manor.
