Wildcats nearly capture first win

The Elgin Wildcats basketball team headed down to Corpus Christi last week for some pre-district tournament action.​Elgin was unable to come away with a win, but they were so close to victory they could almost taste it.​On Thursday, Dec. 1, the Wildcats were matched up against the Carroll Tigers. Both teams traded blows early on, and the score was tied 8-8 as the first quarter neared its end.
