Wildcats narrowly defeated in first loss of the season

A missed field goal by the Rudder Rangers with three minutes remaining allowed the Elgin Wildcats to regain possession. But despite the favorable field position from a 40-plus yard return, the Wildcats couldn’t tie the game, ending 21-14.  Elgin (2-1) suffered their first loss of the season in a game that was decided in the final seconds.
