Wildcats find elusive first win at Westlake tourney

It took five tries, but the Elgin baseball team finally picked up its first win of the season with an 8-4 triumph over Boerne-Champion on Friday at the Austin Westlake Tournament. The Wildcats, who opened the season with losses to Brenham (11-2), Trinity Christian (8-5), Westlake (8-5) and Kiski Area (7-1), erupted for seven runs in the first inning.
