Wildcat basketball mark end of year with awards

Last Wednesday, June 2, members of the Elgin Wildcats boys basketball team were recognized, in an informal ceremony, for their outstanding achievements during the 2020-21 season by head coach John Howie. Nathen Lewis was awarded 2nd Team All-District 18-5A honors, team co-MVP, and Freshman of the Year. Marquereonte “Bo” Gary received honorable mention All-District 18-5A and was named team Co-MVP. Gregory Aguirre was named honorable mention All-District 18-5A, and team Most Improved Player. Josh Sides and Jacob Sides were named co-outstanding academic student-athletes.
