Top-ranked Eagles sweep past Wildcats

The Elgin baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 6-1 loss to top-ranked Georgetown last Wednesday. Georgetown, ranked No. 1 in Class 5A by Texas High School Baseball, got things moving in the first inning, when an error scored one run for the Eagles. Georgetown scored five more runs in the fifth inning to seal the win. Landon Broad, Jeffrey David, Jackson Sioson, Cole Posey and Ty Tilson each knocked in runs in the inning.
