The Smithville baseball team split their games with the La Grange Leopards on Thursday. The Tigers dropped the first game 6-1 and then bounced back to take the second game 5-4.
In the first game, the Tigers gave up two runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings while crossing home just once in the top of the third. The Tigers collected just six hits, led by Cooper Helmcamp’s double, as they left eight runners on base.
