The Elgin boys' varsity soccer team opened their 2020-21 season with a non-conference game against the Killeen Kangaroos on Friday, December 11. After Elgin earned a point in the first half and Killeen earned a point in the second half, the Wildcats ultimately won the game after a 5-4 shootout, according to MaxPreps.
The next week, the Wildcats faced the Giddings Buffaloes in another non-conference game on Tuesday, December 15. Although they didn't earn any points in the first half, the Wildcats gained five points in the second half for a 5-2 victory over the Buffaloes.
