Soccer team sees mixed success in tournament games

The Elgin Wildcats soccer team played a series of tournament games last week, winning two and losing two. The Wildcats first played Eastside Memorial High School from Austin at home on Thursday afternoon. The Panthers were the winners against Elgin, 2-0. The Wildcats then played two away tournament games on Friday, and were successful in both. They first faced the Giddings Buffaloes; the Wildcats kept Giddings from scoring a single goal, and were victorious 5-0 over the Buffaloes.   First Second Total Wildcats 3 2 5 Giddings 0 0 0 That evening, the Wildcats played Wimberley, and were again able to keep the Texans from gaining any points.
