It was beautiful weather for the Texas State Cross Country Tournament held in Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock on Saturday. A cool morning led to an absolutely great day for running, with temperatures in the 70s and a bright sun to warm the fans and the runners.
Cross Country is a five-kilometer, or 3.1 miles, race run on a course usually designed to have numerous terrain changes to challenge all runners. The course in Round Rock did just that for the teams and individual runners (151 runners total) in the boys' 5A race.
